Supporting Community Events

To us, The Villages is more than just a place to work. We spend time out in the community, making this a healthier place for all. We are honored to support these annual events:

This year’s Bash was a huge success as it featured more than 45 different barbecue entries, including beef, pork and poultry, with more than 30 vendors lining the Spanish Springs Square. TVH was a proud participant that not only served food, but also provided health information to attendees. This is one of the school’s largest fundraising events, raising over $51,000 in proceeds.

This is about you and your journey.” The tranquil hour and yoga event was supported by our TVH Patient Services Representatives.

Offering Health Education Community-Wide

The Villages Health Learning Center provides health, wellness and chronic care management classes for our patients and for anyone in The Villages and surrounding communities to attend. Empowering people through education is an important aspect of helping to make The Villages America’s Healthiest Hometown. We are partnering in the self-care process to provide tangible information that can be applied to people’s daily lifestyle.

We offer between 30-40 classes every month. Classes rotate between each of our Care Centers. Most classes are free. Visit our Learning Center to learn more!

Preventing Illness

Screenings and vaccines are critical in keeping people healthy and detecting illness early. At TVH, our patients benefit from our focus on prevention. We are ranked in the top 1% of health systems in the country for the quality care we provide our patients. Many of these quality measures involve ensuring patients receive screenings and routine tests.

In addition to our patients being provided preventive services, we offer the opportunity for people throughout the community to take advantage of free screenings. Through our Learning Center, we provide memory screenings and BMI testing. Visit our Learning Center to learn more!

One of the beautiful things about this whole system is the fact that you never have to tell anyone anything, they have your medical history in front of them. You just go to the front desk and say who you are, and you sign in and that’s it! The coordination of your health history is always right in front of whoever you are with and that’s wonderful.
