Protect Your Heart During American Heart Health Month

Learn How in a Free Heart Healthy Course

Did you know that heart disease is the leading cause of death among both men and women, but also one of the most preventable? That’s right! There are lots of ways to protect your heart against cardiovascular disease and stay happy and healthy.

The entire month of February is American Heart Health Month, and we will do our part to raise awareness.

Here are four ways you can protect your heart and the heart of others this month:

  1. Join us in wearing red on Friday, February 2nd for National Wear Red Day for Women to Prevent Heart Disease.
  2. Schedule your Annual Wellness Exam as a first line of prevention against heart disease. Call your care center or visit the patient portal.
  3. Register to attend one of the free classes (listed below) to learn practical ways to improve your own heart health. These courses are available to you at no cost and are a part of your care plan.
  4. Bring a spouse, neighbor or friend to educate them about heart health – even if they are not a patient! Our Learning Center courses are available to the entire community at no cost.

Each time I visit I become more impressed with how well the Center is organized, staffed and operated. I've had several visits to Audiology with Greg Freeman over the past few weeks and found him to be reassuring and professional and encouraging, making my transition into hearing aids a little easier to deal with. Everything from check-in, the visit itself, the follow-up appointment scheduling and the check-out runs like clockwork.
