4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Specialty Care at Spanish Springs
Loss is life changing. There is no set end or rules for grief, it can be ongoing and often changing. For many of us, holidays tend to intensify painful grief feelings no matter how recently or long ago we have experienced loss. The messages we receive, social interactions, and tradition expectations around the holiday times can amplify feelings. You are not alone.
Gain insights into managing:
Intense feelings such as anger, sadness, isolation, anxiety, loneliness
Expectations from family or others, ourselves, and social interactions
Impact of grief on faith/spiritual experiences
What to do on “the day”
Changes in traditions as a result of loss
The purpose of this group session is validation, support, awareness, and to alleviate a sense of increased isolation that often accompanies grief during holiday times. Join a supportive space with others who have experienced loss.
This 1-hour open support & education session is offered November 10th 4-5pm, and December 11th 4-5pm at Specialty Care Spanish Springs and is facilitated by Brooke Leever PhD, Licensed Psychologist.
