Supporting Independence focuses on helping the person living with dementia take part in daily activities, providing the right amount of support and balancing safety and independence while managing expectations.

This workshop is part of the Alzheimer’s Association Empowered Caregiver education series teaching caregivers how to navigate the responsibilities of caring for someone living with dementia. You can just take an individual class or take them all.

Other workshops in the series include “Building Foundations of Caregiving”, “Communicating Effectively” and “Responding to Dementia-Related Changes in Behavior”.
