Whether you’re an existing patient or a brand new one, here’s what you need to know to take full advantage of TVH’s innovative care model:
Your first new patient appointment.
Life-changing care begins with a comprehensive account of your personal medical history and life experiences. Since this is essential information for achieving optimal health, you and your doctor will spend time at your first appointment discussing your health history and developing your care plan.
Office hours that fit your schedule.
Our convenient office hours are between 7am and 6pm, Monday through Friday, with patient appointments scheduled from 8am to 5pm. Our on-site laboratory services begin seeing patients at 7am. TVH Specialty Care hours are from 8am to 5pm.
Sick visits and urgent care needs.
As an established patient, we’re here for you whenever you need us. If you require a same-day appointment for an urgent care need, just call your Care Center. You’ll be seen that same day by your own doctor, or another doctor practicing within the same Care Center. We’re also open on Saturdays from 9am to 2pm at our Acute Care Clinic if the on-call doctor feels your medical condition can not wait until our regular office hours.
Here for you, after hours.
We know that urgent medical needs don’t always occur at the most convenient time. No worries. We’re available to help 24/7. If you need to speak to us after normal office hours regarding an urgent medical need, just call your Care Center. You’ll be connected to the on-call doctor. If you need after hours care from your specialist, please call 352-674-8700.
Health education and screenings to keep you as healthy as possible.
The Villages Health Learning Center provides health, wellness, and chronic condition management classes for our patients to attend. We offer between 30-40 classes every month. Classes rotate between each of our Care Centers. Most classes are free. Visit our Learning Center to learn more!
24/7 access through our online health care portal.
Once you become a patient of TVH, we recommend you sign up for access to our online health care portal. This patient portal provides you access to your medical information from anywhere at any time. You can see your upcoming scheduled appointments, what medications you are taking, and notes from your past appointments. All the doctors you see will be listed in the portal. You can contact your physician and request prescription refills through the portal. You can also pay your bills and see your account balance.
Unlike email, all correspondence through the portal is secure and HIPAA compliant to keep your health information private. For matters related to your medical care, TVH representatives may contact you through the portal to address any issues that relate to your future care needs.
To access your health records, please download the Healow mobile app, which allows you access from anywhere. You can also log in to the patient portal on your computer by clicking here. When you become a patient, you will be provided instructions for registering for the patient portal.
Pay your bill.
We make it convenient for patients to pay their medical bills through the online patient portal. The portal allows you to pay with a credit card or a debit card. You will always be sent any medical bills via mail. You are welcome to pay them by check using the envelope provided. If you have questions about your bill or would like to speak with someone about payment, please call your Care Center directly. A TVH team member located at your Care Center can assist you with any of your billing concerns.
Need a prescription refilled?
For prescription refills, please send your request electronically using the online patient portal or contact your Care Center during regular business hours. For all refills, please allow 3-5 business days for the TVH team to complete your refill request. It typically does not take that long but we like to leave enough time to discuss any concerns with you and ensure you do not miss any prescribed medications.
